2017 National Preparedness Month

September 2, 2017 - 12:49 am

September is National Preparedness Month. As we can see from recent events in Texas and Louisiana, both battered by Hurricane Harvey, it’s important to be ready with a plan and emergencies supplies in case disaster strikes.

The Hawaii Department of Health has great resources for putting together an emergency kit that will help you and your loved ones get through an emergency, make plans for what to do in case of emergency, and stay informed to stay protected.

To learn more about National Preparedness Month, you can also check out resources available at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) or the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
