Week 3 of National Preparedness Month is a time to practice and build out your own plans. One of the ways to do that is by being financially prepared. Regardless of your family’s income level, a disaster or other emergency can be a devastating blow. One way to help weather that storm (no pun intended) is by making sure copies of all your records – financial, medical, etc. – are someplace you can get them. This can include insurance policies, medical info, important financial records, etc.
To help you get started, FEMA has a useful checklist at their ready.gov website. Just click here.
